Our Programs

Asherah Circles

In-person gatherings, each dedicated to a specific hormonal transition point.

A Circle for each unique transition.

Puberty & Adolescence

The hormonal threshold leading up to first receiving your monthly menstrual cycle.

PMDD & Monthly Menstrual Cycles

The monthly hormonal landscape — including the acute mental-health impact of PMDD.

Perinatal (Pregnancy through Postpartum)

The hormonal arc of trying to conceive, pregnancy, miscarriage, birth, and the postpartum period.

Perimenopause

The menopause transition — the hormonal threshold leading up to no longer receiving your monthly menstrual cycle.

Post-Menopause

Life beyond menstruation.

The Format

Two intentional components — held together or apart.

Each Circle can be held as a single three-hour sitting, or split into two shorter sessions of roughly one to one-and-a-half hours each.

60–75 min

Psychoeducational

  • Clinical and science-based information about what biologically happens in the body and brain during a specific hormonal transition so as to cause mental health fluctuation and symptoms.
  • Tools to engage in supportive, uplifting dialogue about hormones and mental health.
  • Strategies to identify and minimize internal and external stigmas, and actionable suggestions for care of self or a loved one.

60–90 min

Reflection & Healing

  • Trauma-informed, consent-based space for self-reflection, journaling, and story-sharing as desired.
  • Meditation, intention-setting, & ritual to release harmful stigmas and related trauma / wounds; and to imprint power, strength, and grace.
  • Closing group healing and uplift.

Trajectory

Phased growth, measured by impact.

Years 1–2

Build & Pilot

Develop curriculum and agenda using existing support and healing groups as models; pilot and tweak Asherah Circles; roll out across diverse local communities.

Years 3+

Expand

Train facilitators in other communities, pilot and implement virtual Asherah Circles.

Long term

The Asherah Center

A brick-and-mortar home for workshops, circles, and eventually a few bedrooms of lodging for more intensive restorative care.

Help shape what a Circle becomes.

In partnership with our Advisory Committee, we will begin to develop the curriculum and quantitative/qualitative benchmarks for program success. We also hope to partner and consult with institutions and providers already embedded in these topics. As much as possible, we want to utilize preexisting expertise and wisdom from the clinical field, lived experience, and successful support groups.
