2

Reflection & Healing

Why this work, now

It is well-documented that, for generations, the medical establishment has marginalized, pathologized, and underrepresented women and girls, particularly during hormonal transitions.

The construct of the medical establishment is visibly shifting and there has been a surge of individual and institutional health equity efforts. Still, there is so much work to be done.

The Asherah Institute sees a valuable opportunity to use women's individual and collective power at the grassroots level to profoundly expedite this shift. Underlying our mission is the fundamental truth that women embody unparalleled power and capacity to uplift and heal themselves and those around them. With our curriculum and communities, we hope to immediately transform how we show up for ourselves and each other and to eventually contribute to the rewriting of our individual and societal narratives around hormonal transitions into one of strength, power, and grace.
